You have probably heard that next week the U.S. House of Representatives plans to vote on the elimination of funding to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB). This would be an extremely hard blow to Minnesota Public Radio’s programming and services.
We ask – with all due urgency – for you to take a moment to call your elected official and do the following:
* Introduce yourself (name and city)
* Let them know you’re a constituent of their's
* Tell them (in your own words) that you value public radio; let them know that the proposal in Congress to eliminate all funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) would decimate our country’s unique network of public radio and television stations.
* Remind them that today—more than ever before—you depend on public radio to provide you with unbiased news, information, and programming.

It sounds kinda "scary" to call, but it takes just a minute. They're very friendly.
