I think it's tragic that in the current political climate we sometimes forget that our opponents are people just like us, only with different opinions and views. That people can choose to harm other people just because they disagree with them. That a person who's described by others as mentally unstable can easily obtain a gun.
But the thing that disturbs me most of all right now is that the Tea Party Express is using this tragedy as a motive for a fundraiser, but not to benefit the victims and their families, but to further their political agenda. That's just disgusting.
