perspectives

I took a practice GMAT test this morning (math component).  I haven't practiced or done math in a while and it was rough.  I really felt like I've forgotten math.

During my lunch break I went to return something at Land's End.  The lady there told me I will be getting back $16.18 per shirt and pulled out her calculator to see how much I'd be getting for 2.  I immediately told her it would be $32.36.  She looked at me and asked me if I was a math whiz.

Nothing like retail therapy to soothe the frayed nerves of a former math lover.

GMAT math is somewhat different. You don't need to know much math, but you need to know what kind of applications are important in the test.
