предвыборное

Уже который раз я вижу в своем родном Миннеаполисе огромные билборды (?) с надписью "DON'T VOTE" (не голосуйте) и не могу понять, что они имеют в виду. [livejournal.com profile] doc_a считает, что это reverse psychology (кому знать, как не ему), но я не уверена, что дело в этом. Единственная реакция, которую у меня вызывает эта рекламная компания, это - "WTF???"

yup. the same agency. clear channel communications. the problem is that everyone claims that they're very pro-Bush, that they don't play the Dixie Chicks and Howard Stern, who critisized Bush. Therefore, people are worried about this campaign.

By the way, is it the same media company or is it an agency that did business with a particular FM stattion?

I believe they're a media conglomerate that own a large percentage of radio stations in the US

I wrote to the Secretary of State office and got a response:
Dear Sir or Maddam,
Thank you for your input regarding the "Don't Vote" billboards posted throughout the Twin Cities area. We have taken note of your concerns and I have forwarded your message and others on this matter to Clear Channel to make them aware of the disappointment that individuals have been expressing.
